Industry Delegation to Showcase Nebraska at FABTECH in Windy City
Profit study for manufacturers to be released at the event
Economic development is all about relationships, and FABTECH is North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing industry event.
Together, they present an opportunity to showcase the Cornhusker state for four days in Chicago, IL November 6th through 9th.
“Advanced manufacturing is Nebraska’s state’s second largest economic driver,” said Brian Vasa, NPPD Economic Development Consultant. “FABTECH allows the Nebraska delegation to build and strengthen relationships with company executives in this industry.”
Factors that prove Nebraska is a great location for this particular industry include:
- an attractive business climate,
- a productive and well-educated labor force,
- competitive labor and energy costs, and
- central location.
The latest study, “Nebraska Profit Opportunities for Manufactures of Fabricated Metal Products,” will also be released at FABTECH, helping to show the fiscal reasons why it makes sense to expand or relocate in Nebraska.
Nebraska’s delegation includes Nebraska Public Power District, the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development, and several Nebraska counties and communities, including Burt and York Counties, and the City of Scottsbluff.
