Earlier this month, the NPPD Economic Development team hosted the Civic Apathy workshop, a civic pride consulting firm.
Jeff Siegler is a leading voice on issue of civic pride, resident apathy, community wellness and revitalization. His keynote presentation emphasized, “Everyone deserves to live in a place they can be proud of.”
NPPD offered workshop sessions in both North Platte and Norfolk. Representatives from both communities had the opportunity to speak to the group about what they have done to “revitalize” their downtown spaces. Both locations had engaging conversations, with great takeaways and insights.
Melissa Dush, Sherman County Economic Development said, “Jeff’s message pertained to our community in so many ways and I look forward to using some of his methods to reinvigorate our community’s pride. The extra time for Q&A/networking was appreciated.”
