The NPPD Economic Development team is available to meet with your organization to provide expertise as you evaluate your programs, prepare marketing plans, develop new materials or programs, or answer questions about the economic development process. Whether it is a simple question, working with an existing business, or helping you with a prospect proposal or visit, NPPD can assist.

Our experienced facilitators help you and your organization establish goals and priorities to develop a strategic plan. We utilize several tools or techniques to create a written action plan, which becomes an essential tool for your success.

Prospect Support

NPPD team members can assist your community every step of the way when working with a potential new industry or expanding an existing one. We can help you make your response to a request for proposal/information stand out with graphics, maps and data. We can also assist with formatting an electronic response into a file format most appropriate for your proposal. Should a site visit occur, our consultants can help make a plan to host the prospect.

We can help you maximize exposure of your available sites and buildings with a multi-pronged approach.

  • Our Featured Properties program puts your available properties in front of potential businesses and site selectors.
  • Our Site Readiness Assistance Program gets your available properties shovel-ready with matching grant dollars to complete necessary due diligence items.
  • We can develop customized marketing materials that provide visibility to prospective businesses and site selectors.
  • We can assist with uploading your sites and buildings to LOIS (Location One Information System), a searchable online database. This service is available at no cost to communities and increases the visibility of your properties. Companies, site selectors, NPPD, and the Nebraska Department of Economic Development use this information to narrow down possible sites for a company’s next location. Our Economic Development Team is available to advise on how to list a property to help it stand out, and to troubleshoot minor challenges you may encounter.

Community Marketing Materials

The Community Guide is a full-color, magazine-style publication tailored to your community, highlighting general information, economic development, labor, community facilities, services, utilities, taxes, and local government. The guide can be used not only to recruit businesses but also to attract professionals and new residents to your community.
