
Timpte, Inc., a manufacturer of bulk commodity trailers, recently announced plans to expand its presence in David City, Neb., with a nearly $14 million, four-stage expansion that will add 30-60 new jobs to the existing 300 employee workforce.
After looking at several midwestern states for a new headquarters, the company decided to build at its existing David City facility. The project not only includes a new 30,000 square foot product showroom and corporate office, it will also involve a separate 11,800 square foot sales, parts and service center, a 12,000 square foot research and development center and a 23,000 square foot addition to its manufacturing facility. Upon completion by the end of 2019 the expansion will bring the total square footage on the David City campus to 400,000.
2019 marks the company’s 135th year in business and it has been operating in David City for more than 40 years.
