Last week, Nebraska Public Power District Economic Development representatives had the opportunity to attend the National Rural Economic Developers Association Annual Conference. It was a prime opportunity to meet and connect with rural economic developers associated with communities, local development groups, and utilities from around the nation.
“The networking opportunities at events like NREDA are invaluable, and I think we get just as much value out the educational sessions that we get to attend while there as well,” said Lyndsy Jenness, NPPD Economic Development consultant. “I’m excited to bring back some of these strategies and resources to help drive growth for our customers and their communities.”
Sessions included in-depth information on modern retail strategies, how automation can help drive rural economic development, the desirability and challenges associated with green energy, and many more.
Next year’s NREDA Conference will be November 8th-10th in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
