Lyndsy Jenness has been named an Economic Development Consultant at Nebraska Public Power District. She comes to NPPD from the State of Nebraska Economic Development Department, where she has served as a Field Service and Business Development Consultant for 16 counties in northeast Nebraska for the past three years.
In her role, Jenness will promote economic development in communities and rural areas served at the wholesale and retail level by NPPD. She will work closely with local economic development organizations and community representatives to help retain and recruit jobs, capital investment and electric load in NPPD’s service area.
She will work primarily with communities in north and northeast Nebraska, a territory previously served by Nicole Sedlacek, who was named Economic Development Manager this summer.
“I’m excited to join the NPPD team and continue working closely with the local economic developers that I’ve developed a relationship with,” Jenness said. “I am passionate about helping business expand and locate to Nebraska knowing all the opportunities it provides to those who live and work here.”
“Lyndsy brings with her more than a decade of economic development experience, and we are excited to tap into her knowledge of north and northeastern Nebraska,” said Nicole Sedlacek, Economic Development Manager. “
Lyndsy is originally from Bloomfield, Neb., and earned a bachelor’s degree in political communication from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She and her husband, Wade, live in Bloomfield with their daughter. She is active in TeamMates and the Bloomfield FFA Alumni.
