Nebraska comes in at seventh best in Forbes’ 2014 edition of its “Best States for Business” ranking. This is the seventh-straight year Nebraska has been ranked in the top ten. Of the states in the top ten, only North Dakota and Texas have seen their average state gross product increase more than Nebraska’s over the past five years. In the individual categories, Nebraska was a top-ten state in the areas of business costs, regulatory environment and economic climate. Meanwhile, Utah took first place in the ranking for the fourth time in the last five years, while Mississippi came in last.
