Thank you for taking the time to visit with us at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago recently! Nebraska Public Power District’s (NPPD) service area, located in the center of the United States, offers significant advantages to manufacturers. Our communities have available industrial sites and buildings providing access to local, national, and international markets, a quality workforce, and a business friendly environment.
A Nebraska location means lower costs and increased profits for firms in the manufacturing industry. A recent study found a Nebraska location, when compared to the 15 alternative states, offers average an annual savings of $193,934 in labor-related costs, which is 6.1 percent less than the average labor costs. A Nebraska plant location also offers significant energy cost savings compared to the other 15 states. Nebraska’s energy cost for the model plant is 22.8% less than the average for the other 15 alternative locations.
NPPD’s Economic Development Team is ready to provide confidential, professional assistance with site location projects.
