Nebraska Economic Development Services | NPPD

Changes to Sites.nppd.com

September 6, 2018

Have you noticed anything different about NPPD’s Economic Development website?  If you haven’t, look again.  Over the past several months we have been working on updating the look of our site and the biggest change most site visitors have noticed would be the color scheme.  Remember the old website, with the black and blue background?  Well, we listened to your feedback and hope you like the change with a brighter, more inviting blue background.  You might have also noticed our new slogan to go along with it. “Good Life. Great Location.”  We jumped on the bandwagon with Nebraska’s brand “Good Life” and added, “Great Location.”  When we asked NPPD’s Economic Development Manager, Mary Plettner, what the new brand “Great Location” meant, she replied, “Nebraska is the center of the United States, it is a great location not just for ag related businesses but also for distribution, industrial, and data centers. Why wouldn’t you want to locate here?”

Another major change has been moving all of the Community Information, Fast Facts, and GIS demographics over to LOIS (LocationOne Information Services). Not only does LOIS serve as a place to list all your sites and buildings available in your community, it also has a Community Profile section where you can showcase your community with pictures, videos, and a community overview.  LOIS has partnered with ESRI for all your data needs including access to 16 different reports for your community including Market Profile, the latest Census Profile, and Traffic Reports. What is even better is these reports are free to NPPD customers.  So take a look and let us know what you think, we welcome your feedback.
