NPPD Generation 60% Carbon-Free
NPPD Generation 60% Carbon-Free Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) reported its generation resources for Nebraska customers to be 60% for 2016. This included 42.0% from nuclear, 9.0% from wind and 8.8% from hydro. “Industries are interested in carbon-free electricity, but they also want reliable power,” said NPPD Chief Operating Officer Tom Kent. “NPPD provides both.”
