| The Fairmont State Airfield is located 10 miles southwest of Exeter. This state-owned airfield has a 4,400 foot lighted, hard-surfaced runway. There are 30 private airplanes in hangars, some of which would be available for charter. Scheduled air service is available at the Lincoln Municipal Airport. This airport located 50 minutes east of Exeter offers passenger, air freight, and air express services. |

| Amtrak provides Hastings, which is 60 miles west of Exeter, with rail passenger service east to Chicago and west to Denver and San Francisco/Oakland. The Superline features coach and first-class accomodations, dining car service and checked baggage services from most cities. Travel time is 12 hours to Chicago and 37 hours to the West Coast. Amtrak has one train each direction daily. |

| The largest park in Exeter is Gilbert Park, located on the south edge of the community and has a lot of playground equipment, a new pool in 2009, and baseball/softball fields. Edgar Park, near the school, has tennis courts and playground equipment. Storybook Park is beside the public libary and has benches and playground equipment. | Exeter houses a medical clinic staffed by doctors from the York Medical Clinic. The new Fillmore County Hospital is an acute care hospital located in Geneva just 15 minutes southwest of Exeter. The hospital is licensed by the State of Nebraska and is approved for Medicare and Medicaid. The hospital has 70 sub-specialty physicans on courtesy/consulting staff. The Warren Memorial Hospital/LTC is located nine miles east of Exeter in Friend. Exeter has a rescue unit staffed by volunteer Emergency Management Technicians. Exeter also has a nursing home to meet the needs of the elderly. |
