  Wisner, Nebraska-located in the beautiful Elkhorn River Valley, is served by U.S. Highway 275 and Nebraska Highway 51. It is located in the northwest part of Cuming County-approximatly 15 miles from the County Seat-West Point, Nebraska. We are 84 miles northwest of Omaha, Nebraska and 100 miles northwest of Lincoln, Nebraska.

The Wisner and Pilger school districts merged in 1969 to form the Wisner-Pilger Public School District #30. Students attend a K-4 Elementary School in Wisner, a 5-6 Middle School in Pilger, and a 7-12 Jr.-Sr. High School in Wisner. The District prides itself on its Dual Credit Program in Agri-Business, Agriculture Records, American Government, American History, Biology, Calculus, Composition, Economics, English Literature, Geography, Lifetime Wellness, Physical Education, Psychology, Trigonometry and World Civilizations with additional classes being available during the summer and via distance learning. Transferrable college credit is offered in cooperation with Northeast Community College. Independent study courses are available through the University of Nebraska.

St. Frances Memorial Hospital of West Point is just 15 miles south east of Wisner.
