| Sidney has one of the most unique logistics systems in Midwest America with three railroads and four major highways. | There shall be two classes of building sewer permits: one for residential and commercial service and one for service to establishments producing industrial wastes. In either case, the owner or his or her agent shall make application on a special form furnished by the City. The permit application shall be supplemented by drawings, specifications or other information considered pertinent in the judgment of the City Manager. | Sidney, Nebraska has the newest high school in the State of Nebraska. The $20 million new high school opened in 2009 and was a collaboration between private industry and the local citizens. Western Nebraska Community College provides endless opportunities for nationally recognized Business and Industry training such as Cabela's University, in addition to postsecondary educational pursuits and the only FAA approved aviation maintenance college in Nebraska. The community college facilities were built in 1995.

| LINK # 1 - ADAMS INDUSTRIES INC. - This industrial park complex was part of the Sioux Army Depot from 1942-1967 located 10 miles northwest of Sidney on I-80 Exit 48. It is now owned by Adams Industries Inc., which operates it as a privately owned industrial park with world class logistics capabilities through rail, trucking, warehousing and building sites. There are 10 (ten) 90,000 square foot buildings available that can be used for manufacturing, distribution or warehousing along with adjacent 500 acres of raw land. All properties are zoned heavy industrial. All utilities are established. There are no fees for permitting on new construction. A short line railroad (Sidney & Lowe - owned by Progress Rail) connects both main lines of Union Pacific and Burlington-Northern Sante Fe railroads at this location offering both rail services for private industry. With the primary rail yards only 100 miles in distance for both railroads, Sidney sits in the center of this activity. Sidney Warehousing & Industrial Sites and Sioux Meadows Park are both privately owned and have been developed since 1942 with an abundance of available buildings and land. Served with all infrastructure needs along with rail. Both are located just two miles north Interstate-80 Exit 48. The Sidney Industrial Park is a 90 acre industrial tract on the east edge of Sidney in the city limits and is eligible for redevelopment projects. Utilities are on site.
