| The Creighton Municipal Airport, 41 miles south of Santee, has a 3,100 foot paved and lighted run way and a 2,100 foot sod runway, 100 octane fuel, and hangar space for eight planes. Six private planes are hangared there; none are available for charter. Sioux Gateway Airport at Sioux City, Iowa, 102 miles southeast of Santee, is served by Northwest/Airlink and Chautaugua Airlines. |
| Barge service is available at 19 barge terminal facilities on the Missouri River in Nebraska. The Sioux City river port is 30 miles northeast of Allen. These river ports are navigable approximately eight months per year. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers maintains a 9-foot deep, 300-foot wide channel for 735 navigable miles from Sioux City to the mouth of the Missouri River. Commodities transported by towing companies are alfala pellets, cement, concrete forms, distillers' dried grain, feed, feed ingredients, fertilizer, grain, machinery, molasses, newsprint, nitorgen fertilizer solution, propylene glycol, rock-aggregate, salt, steel, and twine. |

| The village of Santee potable water system supplies treated water to the Village and the Natural Resources Building located along Highway 12. The Village water supply comes from two shallow (40-foot) wells located in Qauternary alluvium along Bazile Creek. The pumps in these wells are individually rated at 125 and 75 gpm and can produce a combined flow rate of 200 gpm. The two municipal wells are part of a four well system. The other well is dedicated to the Land Management Building and the Ohiya Casino in the Tribal Industrial Park. This well is of similar depth and pump rating and can be tied into the Village system if necessary. |

| Santee Medical Clinic has two exam rooms, lab and x-ray, a conference room, storage, and a reception area. The clinic has three physicians and an ObGyn who work at the clinic half days on a rotating basis our of Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton. A Physician's Assistant and one full-time and four part-time nurses staff the clinic. The clinic also houses two dental chairs and a dentist is available four and one-half days per week. The clinic also houses the pharmacy that is open every day. |
