  Oxford is located in the Republican River Valley about 100 miles northwest of the geographic center of the United States. Oxford sits on the county line of Furnas and Harlan counties, in the Central Time Zone. It is 57 miles east of McCook, NE, and 55 miles south and west of Kearney, NE. The Nebraska Heritage Byway on State Highway 136 passes through Oxford.
