Nelson has a Community Club that takes the place of our Chamber of Commerce. A Community Dinner Theatre is put on every April. This money is donated back to the Community making improvements in the Library, Cemetery, Auditorium, Parks, Swimming Pool, and Schools.

Our Community:The City of Nelson, a Second Class City, was incorporated May 11, 1883, and boasts a current population of 587. We invite visitors to enjoy our golf course and the 4th of July celebration, "Nelson Fun Days." Come see the stone faces that adorn the Stansbury Building in downtown Nelson.
