  Meadow Grove is located in Northeast Nebraska on US Highway 275. The Elkhorn River runs just a few miles north of our town and the City of Norfolk is located 17 miles east of Meadow Grove.

Reliable, clean water service is provided by Meadow Grove, with competitive rates. The water flat rate is only $14.00 per month and $1.00 per thousand gallons used. The Village employs a Certified Water Operator to manage the water tower, wells and to collect water samples for regularly scheduled tests. In 1997 the Village had a new 75,000-gallon water tower built to provide better service to our residents. Water meters were also installed at each home in town and approximately 70% of the Village's water lines were replaced.

Meadow Grove provides weekly sanitation service to its residents for a nominal fee of $4.00 per month. Those living within a 5-mile radious of town can also utilize this pickup service for an additional fee. Meadow Grove supplies its residents with "Meadow Grove Trash Bags" for collection. This has proven to be the most effective and fair way to charge for the service. Bags are available in two sizes and can be purchased at several local businesses in town including the Clerk's office.

Meadow Grove was happy to announce that Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) high speed internet is now available to Village residents as well as people living within six miles of the city limits. A five-member Village Board of Trustees governs Meadow Grove. The Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 PM at the Clerk's office. Trustees are elected and serve for a term of four years. The Meadow Grove Public Library is a vital part of the community, and is ever expanding. The library provides residents with a wide variety of books, audio books, magazines and many current movies. The library has four new computer with internet access, a scanner and digitial copier for public use. During the summer, the library has an excellent summer reading program for the young children in the community. Meadow Grove has a contract for law enforcement with the Tilden Nebraska Police Department. They have a full time police chief as well as one full time officer. They are a critical part of the community and both officers are committed to keeping our town a safe hometown neighborhood for our families.

Meadow Grove residents have many eductional options very close to home. Meadow Grove public schools consolidated with Tilden, Nebraska in 1967 to form "Elkhorn Valley Public Schools," a K-12th grade school system located just 5 miles west of Meadow Grove. Battle Creek Public School is located 9 miles east of Meadow Grove. St. John's Lutheran is a private Preschool-8th school and is located 9 miles east in Battle Creek, Nebraska. Emerick District #96 is a small country school located 9 miles south of Meadow Grove and offers K-8th grades. Meadow Grove has three small parks and one ball field. We recently built a new shelter and restroom facility at our ball park in May 2003, which provides an excellent area for family gatherings and summer events. Water and electricity are available at the shelter. For a small fee the shelter can be reserved for special events during the summer. Meadow Grove is also very close to many beautiful golf courses, additional parks with swimming pools, tennis courts and campgrounds for summer activities.

Meadow Grove has an excellent Rescue Squad, which provides ambulatory services in case of emergencies. Patients are usually taken to Faith Regional Hospital which is located in Norfolk, 17 miles away. Tilden, five miles from Meadow Grove, has a Dental office, Physician's office and Pharmacy.
