| Lexington has numerous recreational opportunities that continue to be expanded. Not only is Johnson Lake Recreational Area less than 10 minutes away, facilities within Lexington are constantly upgraded. Within the last 10 years a new aquatic center has been built and expanded, a 35-acre complex for soccer, baseball, and softball was built, six new tennis courts were built, and existing parks continue to be renovated and made larger. In 2006, a multi-purpose indoor practice facility was built at the 35-acre recreational complex. |
