Six private planes are hangared there; none are available for charter. Sioux City Gateway Airport is approximately 110 miles east of Creighton. Barge: The Sioux City river port is 110 miles east of Center. These river ports are navigable approximately eight months per year. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers maintains s 9-foot deep, 300-foot wide channel for 735 navigable miles from Sioux City to the mouth of the Missouri River. COMMUNITY NOTES
Our Community:	Center, Nebraska is a small community in northeastern Nebraska founded in 1901. As with other cities of similar size, economics is a major factor in activities and improvements. However, residents of the community are working hard to make it inviting to new families. The residents have improved their public park by installing new landscaping, improved their picnic areas, and purchased new playground equipment. As you enter the community you will be greeted by new "Welcome to Center" signs. The small town atmosphere, plus the choice of three area schools to send children to, make Center an attractive place to live and raise a family. The quietness of the community is appealing to people of all ages.
