| Arcadia is served by Ord and Broken Bow's airports for smaller planes flying into the area as well as local services. For connections to larger airports there are connections out of Kearney or Grand Island that are each 65 miles away. | Arcadia has a lagoon wastewater treatment system. This is a three lagoon system that releases directly into the Middle Loup River from lagoon number three. | Arcadia offers a student to teacher ratio of only 1-5 in junior high school and high school. In the elementary school this number is one to twelve which is outstanding for todays standards.
Arcadia is able to offer many extra curricular activities including FCA, National Honor Society, choir, band, swing choir, speech and one act. Arcadia is also able to offer their students the option of playing in competitive sports including volleyball, football, basketball, wrestling and track. |

| It is just 12 miles to Sherman Reservoir that offers swimming, camping, fishing, skiing and boating. There is another option of the Calamus Resevoir a little further down the road that offers all the same recreatoinal opportunities as well as a lodge up the hill and also a small golf course. In Arcadia also has three RV hookups that make in convenient to stay a night, a week, a month, or the summer!! |

| In 2005 Arcadia was the recipient of a CDBG housing rehabilitation grant. A total of 10 homes received more that $188,000 in upgrades. This was a tremendeous boost to the quality of our housing! |

The local radio station operates out of Ord which offers both AM and FM frequencies.
Satellite TV service is also available from local dealers.
Arcadia is accommodated by hotels in Ord and Loup City just 30 minutes away. There is however dining establishments, Legion Club, Arcadia Cafe' and Francee's Bar N Grill.
Arcadia does have one full service bank, Fist Nebraska Bank, which is insured by FDIC. Lending is done by loan officers in Arcadia.They are open Monday through Saturday for your banking convenience.
Arcadia has the United Methodist Church, the Arcadia Independent Bible Church and the Calvary Baptist Church.
There are many other denominations offered in Ord, Loup City and Broken Bow just a few miles away. |
